Terms of Use.

1. ZEST and its operator

ZEST is a culinary puzzle and recipe app operated by Karsten Schwarzkopf, Brodauer Weg 33, 04129 Leipzig, Germany. Contact: support@egoheadworks.com.

2. App access and purchases

The current app offers three sample dishes and limited access to user-created puzzles without full access. Full access is available as a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase through the Apple App Store. It is not an automatically renewing subscription. The purchase screen and App Store display the applicable price, taxes, and conditions before purchase.

Verified owners of eligible earlier paid-download versions retain full access. Restore Purchases uses the Apple Account associated with the original purchase. Apple handles payments and refund requests. If you have a subscription from an older version, manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings; deleting the app does not cancel it.

3. License and permitted use

Your use of ZEST is governed by the End User License Agreement and applicable Apple usage rules. App graphics, software, and protected recipe content remain the property of their respective rights holders. Do not redistribute protected content or circumvent access controls, except as permitted by law or an applicable license.

4. Recipes and cooking

Recipes, serving adjustments, and cooking instructions are for general culinary information and entertainment. Check ingredients for allergies and dietary suitability, verify quantities, and use safe handling, storage, preparation, and cooking practices. Adjust instructions to your ingredients and equipment. The app does not provide medical or individualized nutritional advice.

5. Your puzzles and sharing

You are responsible for content you create, import, or share. Use only content you have permission to use. Review exported puzzles, cards, and challenge links before sharing; recipients may be able to access the included information. Sharing through another service is subject to that service’s terms. Importing a puzzle does not guarantee its accuracy, safety, or suitability.

6. Progress, synchronization, and availability

Progress and settings are stored on your device. Supported data may synchronize through Apple iCloud when available. Synchronization is not an independent backup. Device changes, deletion, service availability, and account settings may affect access to stored data. Contact support before deleting the app to troubleshoot missing progress. Apple services, an internet connection, or appropriate permissions may be required for specific features.

7. Support, warranties, and liability

Contact ZEST support for app problems. Mandatory consumer rights, statutory warranties, and liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected. No guarantee is made that the app or third-party services will be uninterrupted or entirely free of errors. Liability is subject to applicable law; these terms do not exclude liability where exclusion is prohibited.

8. Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains local data, Apple services, app analytics, feedback, and optional permissions.

9. Updates and governing law

The app and its content may be updated. Material changes to these terms will be communicated where legally required. German law applies, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available under the law of their habitual residence. Jurisdiction is determined by applicable law. These terms do not impose a mandatory arbitration agreement or a class-action waiver.
