This policy covers egoheadworks.com, including the Klarjahr and ZEST product, FAQ, and support pages. The apps’ privacy policies describe their data processing separately. The personal portfolio at karstenschwarzkopf.de has its own privacy policy; consent choices and measurement are managed separately.
2. Website delivery and hosting
This website is hosted by Alfahosting GmbH, Edmund-von-Lippmann-Straße 13–15, 06112 Halle (Saale), Germany. Accessing the website involves processing technically necessary connection data, including your IP address, access time, requested file, browser and operating system information, and, where applicable, the referring website. This supports delivery, security, and troubleshooting.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of the website. Server log storage depends on the hosting configuration. Logs are retained only as long as necessary for operation, security, or investigating specific incidents.
3. Your privacy settings
Google Analytics loads only after your explicit consent. Without consent, or if you decline, no analytics tags are loaded and no analytics measurement data is sent to Google. The website remains fully usable.
Your choice is stored under ew-privacy-v1 in your browser’s local storage, including your decision, the time, and the notice version. It remains valid for up to 180 days. If local storage is blocked, your choice applies only to the current page load. Storing your requested privacy preference is based on section 25(2), no. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG); processing implements and documents your choice under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
You can withdraw consent at any time with future effect through “Privacy settings” in the footer. Further measurement stops, the page reloads, and accessible analytics cookies for this website are deleted. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. Data already sent to Google is not automatically deleted when you withdraw consent.
4. Google Analytics 4
With your consent, Google Analytics 4 is used for statistical analysis. For users in the European Economic Area, the provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The purpose is to understand how visitors find this website, which pages and sections they view, and which project, article, or contact links they use.
Processed data includes page views, engagement time, approximate geographic region, browser and device data, a pseudonymous browser identifier, and selected interactions. This includes viewed page sections and clicks on app pages, App Store links, support and FAQ pages, the personal portfolio, and contact links. An App Store click does not prove a download, and a contact click does not prove a message was sent. Contact content, email addresses, and arbitrary external link destinations are not sent as event parameters. The integration passes page URLs without query parameters or fragments and reduces referring URLs to their origin.
Analytics may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_…. This integration limits their lifetime to 60 days without extending it on later page views. Event and user data is retained for two months; aggregated reports may remain available longer. Google Signals, personalized advertising, and custom User-IDs are not used.
The legal bases are your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and section 25(1) TDDDG. Consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time. No automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects are made about you.
Google may also process data in the United States and other countries. Google cites the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for appropriately certified recipients and Standard Contractual Clauses as transfer mechanisms. Information about recipients, processing, and transfer safeguards is available in Google’s privacy policy and its international data transfer information. The applicable Google data processing terms govern processing on our behalf.
How Google uses data from websites: data use on websites with Google services.
Google states that Analytics does not store individual IP addresses of users in the EU, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. IP addresses are processed for technical transmission and to derive approximate location information. More information: Google Analytics regional privacy features.
5. Contact and external links
If you contact me by email, I process the information you provide to handle your request. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual or contractual inquiries, or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on the legitimate interest in responding to other inquiries. Data is deleted once the matter is resolved unless statutory retention requirements or legitimate reasons justify further storage.
LinkedIn, the App Store, and the personal portfolio are opened through ordinary links; no social media trackers or players are embedded. When you follow a link, the relevant provider processes data under its own terms. Fonts and images on this website are served from our own hosting.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable legal requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may withdraw consent at any time with future effect. Please contact the email address above to exercise your rights.
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular the Saxon Data Protection and Transparency Commissioner: Saxon data protection authority.
