Terms of use

Effective date: November 2, 2026. These terms apply to the Knocko app. Use of the app is also governed by the license agreement (EULA).

1. Knocko and its operator

Knocko is a playful knock-on-wood ritual app for children. It is operated by:

2. For children, set up by parents

Knocko is made for children who use it with their parents' permission. Parents decide whether a child may use the app and set it up. Purchases, reminders, music settings, links and the delete function sit in the parents area, which is protected by a parental gate (Face ID, the device passcode or a math question).

3. Free use and Knocko Family

Knocko can be used for free, including the five classic magic times. Knocko Family adds more magic times and family wood types. It is available in three ways:

Apple shows the price, taxes and conditions before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically unless they are canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel them under "Manage subscription" in the parents area or in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. If you cancel during the free trial, you are not charged. Purchases support Family Sharing. "Restore Purchases" in the Knocko Family offer restores a purchase with the same Apple Account. Apple processes all payments and refund requests.

4. Magic times and wishes

Knocking on wood at a magic time and making a wish is a game. Knocko does not promise that wishes come true or that the ritual brings luck. Streaks, stamps and wood types are rewards inside the app and have no monetary value.

5. Wishes and knock buddies

Wishes and the first names of knock buddies stay on the device. Please use first names or nicknames only. You are responsible for the content you or your child enter.

6. Reminders

Reminders are optional local notifications one minute before a magic time. They depend on the device's clock, notification settings, Focus modes and battery state. We cannot guarantee that every reminder arrives.

7. Data on the device

Knocko stores everything only on the device and does not sync between devices. EGOHEAD WORKS has no copy and cannot restore lost data. Deleting the app or using "Delete all data" in the parents area removes the data. Details are in the privacy policy.

8. License

Your use of Knocko is governed by the license agreement (EULA) and Apple's Usage Rules. Knocko's software, illustrations, music and sounds are protected by copyright. Do not copy or redistribute them, except where the law allows it.

9. Support, warranty and liability

For problems with the app, write to support@egoheadworks.com. Mandatory consumer rights, statutory warranties and liability that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected. We do not guarantee that the app works without interruption or errors. Liability is subject to applicable law; these terms do not exclude liability where exclusion is prohibited.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update the app and these terms. We announce material changes where the law requires it. German law applies, without depriving consumers of the mandatory protection of the law of their habitual residence. These terms do not contain an arbitration agreement or a class-action waiver.
