Magic time is when the hour and the minute on the clock match. There are five a day. On a 12-hour clock: 6:06 AM, 7:07 AM, 11:11 AM, 6:06 PM and 10:10 PM. On a 24-hour clock: 06:06, 07:07, 11:11, 18:18 and 22:22. Each magic time is open for 3 minutes. The optional Knocko Family subscription adds 12 extra daytime magic times.

Knocking works only while a magic time is open, for 3 minutes. Outside these minutes, the home screen shows when the next magic time starts.

Reminders are optional. Open the parents area and turn on reminders at magic times. iOS asks once whether Knocko may send notifications. The reminders are local notifications planned on the device. If none arrive, check that notifications for Knocko are allowed in iOS Settings › Notifications.

Tap Parents in the tab bar. Unlock it with Face ID, the device passcode or by answering a math question.

Knocko Family is offered only in the parents area: US$8.99 a year with a 7-day free trial, US$1.99 a month, or US$17.99 once as Knocko Family Forever with no subscription, all with Family Sharing. To restore it on a new device, open the Knocko Family offer in the parents area and tap Restore Purchases, using the same Apple Account. To cancel, use Manage subscription in the parents area or go to iOS Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Apple handles all payments. The subscription is governed by Apple's standard license agreement (EULA).

Open the parents area and tap Delete all data. This removes the streak, wishes and knock buddies from the device and cannot be undone. Deleting the app also removes all of its data.
